ARTICLE VIII CHURCH DISCIPLINE

Section 1 Discipline – it shall be the basic responsibility of ( L.G.M.I) Life Gate Ministries International to emphasise to its members to be aware of the support available for any member who has concerns for redressing any issues they are not happy with. The pastors and leaders will arrange counselling and guidance for the purpose of reconciliation and restoration. If all avenues for addressing any issues or concerns have been exhausted and the member still continues to display an attitude that is not consistent with the teaching and the doctrines of the church then a disciplinary action will be implemented at the discretion of the leaders and the congregation will be informed as appropriately. (Matthew 18:15-35; 1 Corinthians 5:1-13; 2 Corinthians 2: 1-11)

All such proceedings shall be pervaded by a spirit of Christian kindness and forbearance.

Termination of membership for any condition, which caused the church to exclude a person from the church, on request a recommendation for restoration must be made by the senior pastor and leaders of the church upon repentance and reformation.

ARTICLE IX CHURCH COMMITTEES

i Board of Trustee – The Board of Trustees is legally responsible and accountable to the Charity Commission for the charitable status of (L.G.M.I) International. The Board of Trustees are to ensure that all laws and requirements are fulfilled in relation to the Charity Commission Act of 2006. Trustees are to ensure that the church is well and efficiently managed, and the aims and purpose of the church in its charity roles are being pursued. The Board of Trustees are the guardians of the asset and the integrity of the church.

Members of the Board of Trustee must discharge their duties with integrity and avoid any personal conflicts of interest or misuse of charity funds or assets.

ii Church Leaders – The Leaders of the church are responsible for the spiritual development and growth of the church according to the scriptures. (Ephesians 4:12) The leaders shall implement programmes to promote the vision of the church and to ensure that they are achieved

ii Finance Committee – is responsible for the general financial planning for the church. Such duties include, budgeting, review of expenditure and investment. Financial committee are responsible for approval of all capital expenditure and to review internal audit procedures.

iii Welfare Committee – This is an affiliated department created to meet the needs, financial, practical and interests of the members of (L.G.M.I) both in England and  International.

To take care for the general welfare of members and their spiritual needs. (Please refer to details of the Welfare Policy)
iv Events Committee – Responsible for organising social activities to encourage community participation. To promote community cohesion by creating activities that can draw people from all walks of life to Christ.

To be responsible for protocol of visiting ministers and guests during major church programmes celebration of church events.
